5/06/08 - Three Bellefonte wrestlers win MAWA Eastern National championships! Tom Traxler, Shane Alterio and Christian Oberle. To the best of our knowledge Bellefonte has had only two Eastern National champions prior to this year (Mike Reish and Mitchell Port). Alterio and Oberle will have the opportunity to compete with the MAWA Elite Team at the Disney Duals in June.We also had three other place winners during the weekend, which is a huge accomplishment in it's own right. And finally, our own Coach Mike Cook won the Open 295lb class championship going 3-0 on the day. Congratulations to all 10 wrestlers who competed! Keep the ball rolling!!
