I have taught in the Bellefonte Area School District since 2004 and have been at the middle school since 2011.  Previously, I taught business, finance, and computer classes at the high school.  This year, I will be teaching Math Fundamentals for 6th, 7th and 8th grades.   I am looking forward to a terrific year!

In my free time, I enjoy taking walks and spending time with my family. I also love American Sign Language and offer ASL for Activity Period.  Ask your child about my amazing flamingo collection!

Math Fundamentals is designed to provide additional mathematics instruction for students on core competencies, develop skills for a growth mindset and support what is going on in their regular math class.  It is a dynamic and interactive course that will include problem solving, computer time, math games and other activities.  Students will use IXL as part of their instruction to address whatever needs are shown on their MAP tests as well as to support their regular curriculum.   Additionally, 6th and 7th grade students are set up with Sumdog accounts to compete against each other in our regularly scheduled competitions.

All students are HIGHLY encouraged to bring their regular math class materials to Math Fundamentals.  My plans are always flexible, so if a student needs help with a particular concept, we can go over it in Math Fundamentals. Most days, we have time to get started on their regular math homework too.
