Clearances

The following clearances are required of any employee of the Bellefonte Area School District throughout the duration of employment.
PA Criminal Record Check (Act 34):
Online Application
Select "Submit a New Record Check" and complete.
Follow instructions through to the Certification Page.
Once the Record Check Request Results appear, click on the blue control number. (retain control number for your records).
Click on "Certification Page" and print.
This clearance is due every 5 years
This clearance date can be found in your employee portal
PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151):
Paper Form to mail in: ACT 151 PA CHILD ABUSE APPLICATION OR
Online Application
Create an account or log in if you already have an account.
Complete clearance request application.
Once the application is complete, they will send an email. Follow the instructions to print your certificate.
Your KEYSTONE ID was issued by the Commonwealth of PA when you initially applied for the first
PA Child Abuse clearance. Search for the email you would have used for "Keystone ID".
If you cannot find your Keystone ID, Contact the CWIS Support Center at 1-877-343-0494.
This clearance is due every 5 years
This clearance date can be found in your employee portal
Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114):
Online Application
-Click on "Digital Fingerprinting".
-Enter Service Code: 1KG6XN (FBI clearance for PDE-School Districts); For Volunteer use 1KG6ZJ.
-Select "Schedule or Manage an Appointment".
-Complete your information.
-Be sure to register for the PDE -School Districts (PA Dept of Education).
Important Information:
**If you fail to register through PDE Link, you will have to repay to do it again.**
Print registration receipt to take with you to fingerprint site.
*Within a day or two you should receive an email of your "unofficial" report.
Please send a copy of the report to Human Resources.
PLEASE NOTE-The link to this report is only good for a short time.
It is also only able to be accessed ONE time.
Please be sure to download and/or print for your records.

On the day of the scheduled fingerprinting, all applicants must have:
Valid driver's license or approved photo ID
Registration confirmation
Form of payment

Additional Required Trainings
Mandated Reporter (Act 126) 2 Parts:
Online Application
-Enter your user name (typically first initial last name). Email Jeffrey Baker if not working.
Complete PA Act 126 Part 1 and 2.
Print both certificates and send to Jeffrey Baker at Central Office.
If you complete this training on a professional learning day, support staff needs to send a copy of the
Support Staff Training Certificate to Misty Rider in the Central Office.

Understanding Youth Suicide and Prevention (Act 71):
Online Application
You will receive an email from Vector Solutions
Follow prompts to complete training
Print certificate and send to Jeffrey Baker at Central Office
If you complete this training on a professional learning day, support staff needs to send a copy of the
Support Staff Training Certificate to Misty Rider in the Central Office
This training is due every 5 years
This training can be found in your Vector Training account
Title IX:
Online Application
You will receive an email from Vector Solutions.
Follow prompts to complete training.
Print certificate and send to Jeffrey Baker at Central Office.

This training is done upon hire
This training can be found in your Vector Training account
Trauma Informed Education (Act 18) 2 Parts:

You will receive an email from Vector Solutions
Follow prompts to complete training
Print certificate and send to Jeffrey Baker at Central Office
If you complete this training on a professional learning day, support staff needs to send a copy of the
Support Staff Training Certificate to Misty Rider in the Central Office.
This training is due every 5 years

Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 24):
Required upon hiring as well as within 72 hours of any applicable arrest during the duration of employment

This is only done upon hire OR if convicted of arrest
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Certification Form (Act 168):
Required upon hiring
Act 168 Form
This is only done upon hire
Act 48 Hours (Professional Staff Only):
These hours are not maintained in the Employee Portal system.
