In addition to providing K-12 education and learning services for more than 2,600 students living within the Nittany Valley Region of Centre County, Bellefonte Area School District provides elementary, middle and high school educational offerings. Bellefonte Area Middle School Educational Offerings Grades 6-8

Located in the Borough of Bellefonte and built in 1962, Bellefonte Area Middle School is encompassed by an outdoor area for intramural and interscholastic activities, as well as community-sponsored sporting events. The enrollment at the beginning of the 2021-22 school year was 603 students.

Bellefonte Area High School Educational Offerings Grades 9-12

Located in the Borough of Bellefonte, Bellefonte Area High School was built in 1956 and renovated in 1970. As of the 2021-22 school year, it serves 882 district students in grades 9-12, and provides the opportunity for students to participate in curricular and extracaurricual programs designed to meet the needs of the student population. Bellefonte Area High School also provides nationally recognized programs, and partners with universities, such as Lock Haven, Penn State and Pittsburgh.
