Artificial Intelligence in Education
The availability of artificial intelligence (AI) sites and apps, including ChatGPT, has been a cause for concern regarding cheating and has caused teachers and school leaders to examine how these tools can be used appropriately by teachers and students. The goal for our district is to grow the confidence of our educators to embrace AI within their instruction and to educate our students to use AI appropriately.

Audio Pen AI - converts voice notes into text that's easy to read and ready to share.
Brisk - add this extension to Chrome to gain access to the feedback generator, presentations maker, quiz maker, and more. The Inspect Writing tool provides a quick review of all changes a student has made to a document identifying content that was copied and pasted.
BriskBoost provides a secure way for students to use Brisk within individual assignments.
Canva
Log in with your BASD Google account to access Canva's online creation and design tools. AI tools include image generator, photo editor, and magic design. Canva is available to students and employees.
ChatGPT - artificial intelligence language model designed to understand and generate human-like text based on input.
Curipod - ai lesson creation tool for teachers. Includes templates.
Diffit - ai based differentiation tool for teachers
Eduaide.Ai - user friendly resources for teachers including many templates for planning, student activities, and assessments.
Essential Elements - provides feedback to students while playing their musical instruments.
Flexi - AI math and science tutor from CK-12.
Google Gemini - similar to ChatGPT, Gemini is an AI language model designed to generate human-like responses based on prompts.
MagicSchool.ai - teacher tools for planning, differentiating, and assessments. Includes many templates. The Launch to Students feature can be used to safely provide students with access to AI tools for use on specified assignments.
NotebookLM - Upload PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, audio files, Google Docs, or Google Slides, and NotebookLM will summarize them and make interesting connections between topics.
QuestionWell - generates questions aligned to objectives and standards
Revisely - AI generator that can create flashcards, notes, & quizzes from an image or pdf upload.
schoolai - provides a way to share AI resources with students through a secure link (no login required by students). Resources include historical figure chatbots and AI tutors.
AI Apps for Student Use (Also approved teacher & staff use)
Most AI apps have a minimum age requirement of 13 or sometimes 18 and may require account verification through email. As a result, many AI apps, including those listed above, are not available to BASD students through their BASD email accounts.
