Over 80 students attended Bellefonte Area School District’s World Language Camp from June 24 - 27, 2024. The camp's purpose was to provide students with fun and engaging activities and exposure to different languages and cultures. The languages taught at this year’s camp were American Sign Language, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.
The camp was offered free of charge to any Bellefonte Area School District students who completed grades K through 5. Students were broken into small groups and rotated through a schedule where they spent 25 minutes learning each language per day. Each teacher had a variety of fun activities, songs, and games that helped reinforce the language being taught. It was a great week full of language learning!
