Mrs. Jena Jodon recently attended the Keystones Technology Innovators Summit which was held from July 22 - 26, 2024 at Shippensburg University. The event is organized by the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology (PAECT). Attendees must be recommended by a principal and submit an application to attend the event. Mrs. Jodon was nominated by Pleasant Gap Elementary Principal, Dr. Duffy Besch. Mrs. Jodon is the computer and technology teacher at Pleasant Gap and Marion-Walker Elementary Schools and also serves as an Instructional Technology Trainer. The KTI program recognizes teachers who model the innovative use of technology for teaching and learning in their classrooms.
The week long summit included inspiring speakers, breakout sessions from innovative educators, STEM challenges, and time to collaborate with like minded educators from across the state. The theme for the week was the four key values of PAECT: Lead, Develop, Connect, and Advocate. PAECT is nonprofit, volunteer-led organization supporting and speaking for educational technology in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
