On Saturday, April 20, 2024 Pleasant Gap Elementary had two teams compete in the CIU10 Reading Competition for grades 4-6. The teams for PGE were the Chapter Champs coached by Mr. Montgomery and Reading Raiders coached by Mrs. Rittenhouse. Students were given a list of 20 books to read and were encouraged to read as many as they could from the list. During the competition, students were asked questions about the books and worked as a team to answer the questions. Both teams did wonderful and we are very proud of all their hard work!

Today, PG celebrated the students' achievement of reading over 1,200 books during the month of March for Read Across America Week. Students were chosen at random from RAIDER tickets and got to slime a teacher and Dr. Besch. This was a great event and well worth rewarding the great job the students did in the RAA challenge.

On December 21, PG students took an amazing trip to the North Pole and we made it back just in time for dismissal…..
We drew Raider tickets for the prize presents and did a special drawing for The Polar Express books! We also did a special drawing for great cafeteria behavior!
Once again AMAZING job to all PGE Teachers and Staff!!
But especially great job to the students for following our school wide rules!
